 We are looking forward to an exciting season of softball!

Upcoming Events:

Practice - Tuesday 4/24 at West MS 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Practice - Friday 4/27 at Belleville LL Fields 6:00-8:00 p.m.  (Volunteers will be needed to help prep the fields for the tournament).

Thunderbirds USSSA World Series Qualifier - Saturday 4/28 ~ Sunday 4/29.  (Volunteers will be needed for concessions, fields, trash, etc., during the tournament).

WWCL League Play

WWCL League play scheduled from 5/29-7/19, Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6:30.

We have indoor practice at Gillis from noon to 3PM on Saturdays beginning December 3rd.

Tournament Dates:

4/28-4/29  Thunderbird Tournament (Beck Fields).  Plan to work, help clean up afterwards, etc.  Team Rep needed to coordinate work shifts.

5/19-5/20  Raisin River Rambler (Manchester)

6/2-6/3  Interlakes Tournament (Maple Glen Park in Commerce)

6/16-6/17  Livonia Storm Tournament

6/22-6/24  NSA States (mid-Michigan, location is tbd)

7/13-7/15  USSSA States (Canton) - or - Sidewinder Shootout (Waterford)

Columbus World Series Info:

The games will be played at Berliner Park, 1300 Deckenbach Rd., Columbus, OH.  Opening ceremonies will take place on Thursday, July 26th; games will be played Friday, July 27th, through Sunday, July 29th.  Refer to the link posted in the Tournament section for more information about this weekend.

Per Kristin's e-mail, arrangements have been made for the team to stay at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites at 4141 Hamilton Square Blvd. Grove Port, Ohio.  There is an indoor pool, free parking, free expanded continental breakfast that includes waffles.  The rooms are either 2 Queen non-smoking or a king with a pull out sofa non-smoking.  There are no roll away beds available.  The hotel is approximately 11 miles from the field and about a 15 minutes drive.

Each family will be responsible to call the hotel directly and give them their credit card information.  There is a 2 night minimum stay.  The group can cancel prior to 30 days and individuals have a 48 hour cancellation ability.  We need to have 10 rooms reserved to get the group rate.  The group rate is $92.00 a night plus taxes which will come to $107.41 per night.
